500 kg schwarzer Kristallfarbsand werden per Besen und Schaufel eine Woche lang von der Künstlerin und aktiven Anwohnern über die Marzahner Promenade bewegt. Auf dem Weg durch die Promenade in Richtung Eastgate passt sich der Sand den örtlichen Gegebenheiten an und erscheint in immer wieder anderen (Sand-) Bildern, mal zu einem Haufen aufgeschüttet, ein andermal teppichartig ausgebreitet.
An artistic experiment with the Marzahner Promenade / Berlin
For a week, 300-500 kg of black crystal sand are moved by the artist and active residents along the promenade of Marzahn by broom and shovel. On the 1,2 km way along the promenade towards the East Gate the sand appears in different forms related to local conditions. The material will sometimes be piled into a heap, sometimes spread like a carpet and gradually disappear.
